A selection of photos from day 1 of the Stars of Sandstone 2014 event held at Sandstone Estates 2 foot narrow gauge line near Ficksburg in the eastern Free State. Locomotives featured are Avonside 1624 on her first outing of restoration from a pile of pieces rescued from the now defunct SANRASM museum, the restoration was carried out by Lukas Nel and his steam team at the Sandstone workshops in Bloemfontein.
