Reefsteamers ran a doubleheader with 12AR 1535 and 15F 3046 to Magaliesburg on the 21 March 2015. 15F 3046 has had major work recently to repair a defective wheel so this was a test to see if she had any issues with 12AR 1535 as backup. No issues were found with the repairs so 3046 will be back in regular service.

Things have been a bit quiet on the blog recently as I have been very busy at Reefsteamers upgrading our sleeper train set for the SAR steam tours ( http://www.sarsteamtours.com/ ) and crewing the tour in mid-November. Here are a selection of photographs of the first leg of the tour visiting Friends of the Rail at Hermanstad and having day on the Cullinan branch with their 24 class 3664 on a short mixed. Some photographs from Reefsteamers open day on the 27th July 2013 featuring locomotives 12AR 1535, 15F 3046 and Sandstone Heritage Trust GMAM 4079 in steam. Highlight of the day was strongman Ettienne pulling 25NC 3472. I spent most of the day leading tours in our workshops so the photo chances were limited.

Reefsteamers (www.reefsteamers.com) 12AR 1535 brings the Magliesburg express back from Magliesburg. All the niggles after her recent boiler inspection seems to have be solved and she was running well.
